putting an end to sex trafficking
What would the world be like if more people knew about sex trafficking, how to help victims, and what to do to get involved in the fight against it? Can you imagine what our communities would look like if people started to trust in their police officers again and begin to work together to combat criminal enterprises like that of sex trafficking? It would be incredible, and I’m working to do just that.
There is a movement among the law enforcement community to create more opportunities for the people we serve to see who we are behind the badge. We are more than just a uniform as we are husbands, wives, brothers, sisters and friends. We all have a story and we all have a “why” for taking an oath to serve and protect. My “why” has strengthened the longer I’ve been in law enforcement, but now more than ever. With the prevalence of human trafficking/sexual exploitation and the ever growing chasm between police and the community...I believe in the midst of an overwhelming feeling of despair, we must engage. The Blue Heart 💙 Initiative was my focus as Mrs. South Carolina American and Mrs. Cosmos United States, and every day since.
A fresh new approach to not only improve police/public relations but to enlist the help of the community to aid us in the fight against human trafficking and sexual exploitation. This is my heart’s desire, to really accomplish what I initially set out to do...to make a difference. Prayer is also appreciated as any effort to bring illumination to such darkness meets challenges and there is much work to be done. THE BLUE HEART INITIATIVE
Hi, I’m Alia Paramore. I’m on a mission to bring national awareness to my platform, a movement I created called, The Blue Heart Initiative. It’s a fresh new approach to not only improve police/community relations but to also enlist the help of our citizens to aid law enforcement in the fight against sex trafficking. This is my heart’s desire, to not only continue to fulfill my goal of serving and protecting, but to also be the driving force behind a next-level coalition that will make a real difference in the lives of others.
My goal in doing this is to book speaking engagements to shed light on the issue of sex trafficking here in South Carolina, and to empower people with the knowledge to get involved in the fight against it. I am a law enforcement officer of 18 years, and I have seen first-hand the devastation it’s causing in our communities. I truly believe that with every speaking engagement and community interaction, I am giving people an opportunity to see me as something more than just a uniform, and offering a different perspective than that shown in media.

I was so incredibly honored to serve as Mrs. Upstate, Mrs. South Carolina American, and Mrs. Cosmos United States! With each title, I hit the ground running to share my platform, The Blue Heart 💙 Initiative and my passion for the fight against sex trafficking. A little bit about me; I am an 19 year veteran, recently promoted to Captain, with the Greenville Police Department in Greenville, South Carolina. I am married to my best friend Luke and have three fur babies, Jester, Nylah, and Valko, who we recently rescued. I am an awareness volunteer with the local non profit organization, Switch, a mentor with Mentor Upstate, and a member of Class 51 or Leadership Greenville.
I enjoy hiking in the Smokey Mountains and spontaneous road trips with my husband. I adore all things Wonder Woman and love anything Jurassic Park. I find my inspiration and fulfillment in every opportunity to uplift and empower young women to recognize their value and uniqueness in the world. I am truly excited for this opportunity and hope you will join me on this epic adventure!
